About the Role
We are currently seeking a reliable and customer-focused Delivery Driver & Showroom Assistant to join our busy Parts & Showroom team. Reporting to the Parts & Showroom Manager, you will play a key role in delivering Calor Gas and other products to our customers, while also supporting day-to-day operations within the showroom and parts department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely deliver Calor Gas and other items to a variety of customers
- Ensure the vehicle is clean, tidy, and maintained in a safe condition
- Assist customers in person and over the phone, providing outstanding service
- Promote the company’s image and range of products in a professional manner
- Support showroom and parts operations when required
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers
- Identify and engage with new gas trade customers and stockists
- Load and unload delivery items safely and efficiently
- Be flexible with working hours, including overtime, to meet delivery schedules
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- ADR licence (preferred but not essential)
- Forklift licence (advantageous)
- Strong customer service and communication skills (verbal & written)
- Presentable appearance as this is a customer-facing role
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically fit – capable of lifting and handling gas cylinders
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, especially during peak times
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
- Friday: 8:00am – 4:00pm
- 39 basic hours per week (1-hour unpaid lunch)
- Saturday work may be required as part of a rota
- Overtime available and paid at time and a half after 39 hours
