Head of Business Development (Digital Marketing)

Fully Remote – 4-day work week

Base Salary: £52,000 // OTE: £100,000-£120,000 +


Are you a commercially driven sales leader with a track record of closing enterprise-level deals within a digital marketing agency? Do you thrive in a high-growth environment where you can shape and lead a sales function from the ground up? If so, this Head of Business Development role could be the perfect opportunity for you.


Maxwell Bond have partnered with a fully remote digital marketing agency who are on the search for a Head of Business Development to drive revenue growth, acquire new clients, and expand strategic partnerships primarily within the search marketing industry (SEO, PPC, and SEM).


Key Responsibilities:


Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to secure £1,000,000 in annual revenue.
  • Identify, prospect, pitch, and close high-value deals with enterprise brands, SEO agencies, and partners in the UK and USA.
  • Own the full sales cycle, from lead generation to contract negotiation and signing.


Team Expansion & Leadership

  • Operate as an individual contributor initially, securing key revenue wins.
  • Once revenue milestones are met, hire, train, and lead a team of business development professionals.
  • Define sales structures, commission models, and growth strategies to scale the team.


Strategic Growth & Market Positioning

  • Identify and capitalise on emerging trends in search marketing and performance advertising.
  • Develop go-to-market strategies and refine value propositions to differentiate offerings.
  • Build relationships with CMOs, Heads of Digital, and agency decision-makers.


Sales Operations & Performance Optimisation

  • Establish and optimise sales processes, improving conversion rates and efficiency.
  • Track KPIs, revenue forecasts, and pipeline health using CRM tools.
  • Provide regular performance reports to senior leadership, adjusting strategies as needed.
