PPP is continually delivering major projects over the next couple of decades, so there are lots of opportunities to develop your careers with a leading multinational company that put people first.The Sellafield Product and Residue Store Retreatment Plant (SRP), being delivered by the Programme and Project Partners (PPP), will safely receive all special nuclear material packages from existing storage locations across the Sellafield site before retreating them into new 100-year packages for safe storage. The SRP facility will enable all special nuclear material to remain safe and secure in its store into the next century and beyond and therefore plays a key role in delivering Sellafield’s purpose to create a clean and safe environment for future generations.We are currently looking for a Senior Process Engineer to join the team in Birchwood.The role will support the Process Responsible Engineer in the definition, implementation and delivery of engineering design work (specification, analysis, verification or assessment of engineering) that achieves safety, functional and business requirements through concept and preliminary design. The role will also involve leading small teams of engineers to deliver specific packages of work and therefore require a strong and successful interface with the Integrated Design Team and other project functions.Responsibilities will include; Deliver a safe, fit-for-purpose, fully integrated and operable design solution that meets product requirements, and includes appropriate validation and verificationManage the production of fit-for-purpose discipline-related design deliverables that define and preserve the design intent and are organised and align with the plant configuration, as appropriate. Including Production and oversight of Process flowsheets, PFDs, P&IDs, S&IDDs, Process Data SheetsEnsure the design solution is able to be manufactured, constructed, commissioned, handed over, put into operation, maintained and decommissioned, and that Lifetime Records are delivered.Here's What You'll Need:Degree qualified or demonstrable equivalent underpinning knowledge & understandingSQEP Senior Process Engineer with experience in a similar role.Extensive knowledge of the operation and function of process plants (especially slurry handling and solid/liquid separation systems).Understanding and experience of relevant legislation, standards and procedures
