We are currently seeking a qualified and commercially astute In-House Solicitor to join our legal team. This is a unique opportunity to work across a broad range of legal matters and support a dynamic, multi-sector business with international reach.


Role Overview


As In-House Solicitor, you will provide comprehensive legal support across the Group’s operations in the UK, Asia (including Hong Kong and Malaysia), and South Africa. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external legal advisors to ensure legal compliance, manage risk, and support the Group’s strategic objectives.


Key Responsibilities


  • Draft, negotiate, and review commercial contracts with customers and suppliers
  • Provide legal support on customer tenders, NDAs, and commercial agreements across multiple jurisdictions
  • Assist the Group Legal Counsel and Company Secretary with corporate governance, compliance, insurance, data protection, and dispute resolution
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders across all business units and support functions
  • Liaise with external legal counsel and manage legal instructions effectively


Candidate Profile


Essential Qualifications and Experience:


  • Qualified solicitor in England and Wales with 2–5 years PQE
  • Solid grounding in corporate, commercial or construction law
  • Experience gained in a national or reputable regional law firm or in-house legal team
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied and demanding workload
  • Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to legal risk management


Desirable:


  • Experience in construction law, particularly with NEC3 and NEC4 contracts
