The Opportunity
As Head of Design, you will take the reins of projects involving over 500 designers across multiple design organisations while managing a core team of 50+ experts. This role is ideal for a dynamic leader who thrives on delivering innovative, integrated design solutions at scale.
Your Role
As Head of Design, your responsibilities will include:
- Taking ownership of the entire design strategy, driving collaboration across multidisciplinary teams and supply chain organisations.
- Ensuring all design solutions meet project requirements, from initial concept to handover.
- Leading on integrating technical solutions across multiple design consultants and contractors.
- Working closely with stakeholders to align, challenge, and certify project requirements.
- Overseeing design reviews, interdisciplinary checks, and ensuring seamless coordination.
- Certifying the completeness and accuracy of all deliverables, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
What You'll Need
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- Significant experience in a similar leadership role within large-scale, complex infrastructure projects.
- Expertise in managing large design teams, ensuring alignment and integration across diverse disciplines.
- Strong knowledge of health, safety, and construction regulations.
- Chartered status with a recognised professional body or equivalent qualifications.
- Exceptional communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
