About the Role
As a Senior Design Engineer at Mous, you'll take a leading role in the design and development of multiple R&D projects within our cases and screen protectors team. Your extensive experience will allow you to make an immediate impact, as you oversee key aspects of product development from concept to manufacture.
Key responsibilities:
- Leading the design and development of multiple R&D projects for our cases and screen protectors, from initial research through to final production.
- Detailed project management: working closely with multiple stakeholders across the business to ensure that key deadlines are hit.
- Managing supplier relationships: from identifying new suppliers to maintaining strong partnerships with existing ones to ensure efficient production.
- Collaborating closely with our production team to ensure the seamless launch of new products with a focus on quality and manufacturability.
Minimum Requirements:
- You'll have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design or Manufacturing Engineering.
- At least 5 years' Design Engineering experience with a sound knowledge of product development through prototyping and testing.
- Extensive experience in working the entire production process: from early stage design to manufacture, with multiple parts and assemblies.
- Strong understanding of different testing methodology with the ability to communicate product attributes using data.
- In-depth knowledge of injection moulding and key DFM features needed to create a mass manufacturable product.
- A knowledge of various materials from thermoplastics, composites, to metals.
- Demonstrable evidence of managing and delivering design solutions on time, to specification and within cost and budget parameters.
- Proficient using Excel with the ability to produce complex reports.
- Highly competent in CAD Modelling, ideally using Solid Works.
