The role

Blackbox is seeking a mid-level Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and manage scalable, resilient cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. Without silos or pigeon holes, you’ll be working with cutting-edge cloud technologies across the entire suite of applications.

You will be creating and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (Ia C) using Bicep for efficient cloud resource management and using Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) to manage containerized applications. You’ll also implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines (YAML) in Azure Dev Ops.

We’re open to the level at which you come into this role. If you have a couple of years of relevant experience and consider yourself a mid-level Cloud Engineer, then you’ll be given time and support to get up to speed. If you have several years of experience under your belt and want to come in as a Senior Cloud Engineer (and nearer the top of the salary bracket!), there will be more of an expectation to take a lead and hit the ground running (with the right support of course).

A fully remote role isn’t for everyone, but it is a huge bonus if it works for you as an individual. When we do get together a handful of times a year (for a social or celebration!), your costs will be covered.

• Azure Cloud Development
• Infrastructure as Code using Bicep (or if not, Terraform is fine too)
• Kubernetes / Azure Kubernetes Service for container management
• Implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines

Added bonus if you…

• Know your way around C# /. Net / relational databases in SQL
• Have exposure to Azure API Management / Azure AD B2 C / Azure Application Gateway
• Have Networking knowledge in and out of public cloud
