We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Coordinator at Perth CBD Office on a Permanent Full-Time basis.
About this role As the Commercial Coordinator you will be responsible for increasing value by improving safety, service, quality and compliance outcomes whilst reducing risk and costs across Western Power’s portfolio of contracts (Tier 3 &4) and delivery of contract management governance and documentation services that support the enterprise contract management approach.
This includes executing the sourcing strategy and the formation and execution of commercially suitable commercial agreements to maximise the value derived from the contracts.
This is achieved by supporting the consistent contract management approach in line with the Contract Management Framework and effective delivery of contract administration services to support the objectives of the business strategy, consistent with accepted commercial standards including timelines, quality, and scope and client satisfaction.
Responsible for low risk source to contract activities to achieve the best commercial outcome for Western Power.
This includes sourcing strategy development and execution, issuing tenders to the market, reviewing and evaluating tenders, commercial and financial assessment, negotiation, recommendation for award and execution of commercial arrangements; Responsible for data management of sourcing and contract documentation related information into Corporate systems, e-procurement tools and systems Manage and maintain contract management filing systems and be able to manage contract documents in accordance with Western Power record keeping practices; Prepare and manage contractual correspondence to suppliers (local, interstate and overseas) including letters, amendments and notices; Administer the process to monitor and as necessary issue contract extensions; Responsible for Tier 3/Tier 4 contract and price management negotiations on behalf of the business to achieve the best commercial outcome for Western Power Assist in ensuring contract compliance and adherence to existing contracts.
Contribute to and support enterprise risk management Contribute to and support the Safety, Health, Environmental and community programs Perform general administrative duties as required; and Support the team peers in respect to developing contract documentation About you We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include: Degree qualified in Procurement, Contract, Business, Finance and/or related discipline and/or suitable demonstrated/industry experience At least 2 to 3 years’ experience and knowledge in sourcing and contract management governance and documentation support services Working knowledge of general contract law principles and contract terms and conditions Experience in establishing and managing supplier relationships Good communication and interpersonal skills An understanding of risk and compliance management and its application with respect to procurement Demonstrated problem solving skills Demonstrated good contract management governance and documentation skills Joining Western Power Our people play a vital role in creating an innovative, safe, and supportive workplace, living our values and delivering exceptional service to the communities in which we operate.
