Hillarys Blinds is the UK’s number 1 for blinds and shutters, with 40 years experience of fitting bespoke products into the homes of customers. At Hillarys we have fitted blinds and shutters in over three million households throughout the UK. We understand everything there is to know about filtering light, reducing glare and creating the right look for your windows. We manufacture and sell more blinds than anyone else in the UK and Ireland. Our manufacturing sites are based in Nottingham and Washington, Tyne and Wear. We have 530 production staff working across the two factories. All of our products are handmade to our customers’ individual requirements in our British factories, so our staff are kept very busy! As a company we also invest heavily in marketing, spending on average around £19million a year on advertising. Our range of advertising varies from leaflets, regional press, email campaigns, direct mail, TV, royal mail and two websites (UK & IE). We employ around 400 office staff in several different departments; Marketing, I.T, Finance, Admin, HR, Product Team, Order Processing, Materials Management, Quality Control and also our large Nottingham based call centre. Our advisor network consists of over 950 self-employed Blind and Specialist Product Advisors as well as Specialist Product Fitters. These advisors are the key to our successful in-home made-to-measure service, which helps maintain our position as the UK’s number 1 blind company.
