Job Title: EYFS Teacher Location: Croydon, London Start Date: January 2024 Job Type: Fixed Term (January - July). Could be permanent for the right candidate. Hours: 8.15am till 4:30pm [Mon - Fri] Pay: MPS Job Summary: As an EYFS teacher, you will play a crucial role in the educational development and well-being of young children in their foundational years of primary education. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, creating a safe and inclusive classroom environment, and assessing and monitoring the progress of your students. Your primary focus will be on developing their literacy, numeracy, and other core skills, fostering a love for learning, and providing a supportive and caring atmosphere in which every child can thrive. Key Responsibilities: Curriculum Planning and Delivery: Plan and deliver effective lessons in line with the UK National Curriculum for EYFS. Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage and support students in their learning. Adapt lessons to meet the individual needs of students, including those with special educational needs. 2. Assessment and Monitoring: Regularly assess and evaluate students' progress to identify strengths and areas for improvement. Maintain records of students' achievements and communicate progress to parents and guardians. Use assessment data to inform future lesson planning and curriculum adjustments. 3. Classroom Management: Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes positive behavior and a love for learning. Establish and enforce classroom rules and routines that ensure a productive learning atmosphere. 4. Differentiation: Tailor teaching methods and materials to cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students in the class. Provide additional support and challenges to help every child reach their full potential. 5. Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on student progress and addressing any concerns or questions. Collaborate with other staff members, including teaching assistants, to create a cohesive and supportive school community. 6. Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to stay updated on educational best practices and pedagogy. Attend school meetings, workshops, and training sessions as required. Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK. A relevant degree in education or a related field. Knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for EYFS. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Patience, creativity, and a passion for working with young children.
