The role involves dealing directly with the customer and working closely with other members of the development team including other suppliers and representatives of the customer and engineering departments.
- Authoring End of Line (EOL) Tests and Sequences executed at the End of Line (EOL) System of the Vehicle Manufacturer.
- On-site testing and deploying of End of Line (EOL) diagnostic hardware and software.
- Reporting and Documenting Test Results.
- Verification and Test of the End of Line (EOL) test sequences in office and on-site.
- Preparing and participating in plant vehicle launches of End of Line (EOL) test systems.
- Working on-site resolving issues on any aspect of a project with minimal or no assistance from other resources will be required.
- Creating and providing Customer documentation and training.
- Preparing user requirement documentation.
- Good communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Work with Customer systems, e.g., creating and managing change requests for upcoming software deployments.
- Manage tasks using JIRA.
- Installation of End of Line (EOL) Runtime to QA and Productions Servers, supporting Customers migrating to newer operating systems and SQL database servers.
- Set-up and configuration of plant specific networks (Tester/Server) for validation testing.
- Setup, test and validate server plant management web-based tools (QBay and Site Bay plus additional web deployment mechanisms).
- Run SQL script (Stored procedures and Schema upgrades) queries against the SQL Databases.
- Create / update validation test documentation.
- Participate in QA and Production release reviews.
Qualifications
Essential
- Working Knowledge of Windows XP, Windows 7 32/64bit, Windows 10 32/64bit.
- Working Knowledge of VMWARE and Virtual Box applications tools (Used to create new test environment platforms).
- Understanding of Windows background services.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of Windows networking (TCP/IP and DHCP).
- Knowledge and understanding of vehicle diagnostics (at least one automotive diagnostic protocol such as KWP2000, ISO14230, ISO15765, J1939, ISO14229 and ISO13400).
- Knowledge of Wireshark and CAN Logs (Do IP and CAN).
- Knowledge and understanding of electrical drawings and schematics.
- Ability to fault find and debug issues raised.
- Ability to be able to setup/manage and plan own workload.
Desirable
- An in-depth understanding of OEM requirements and diagnostics of ECU. configurations (example: ECU Software Download, Configuration).
- Knowledge of ODX and OTX.
- Microsoft SQL Server knowledge.
- XML file knowledge.
- Working knowledge of JIRA.
- Knowledge of using the Bosch vehicle model VSI simulator tool.
- Use of VCATS applications (In-house monitor tools) and open source Wire Shark applications.
