We are seeking a highly motivated and analytically strong Senior Actuarial Analyst to support the Deputy Head of Pricing, International in delivering strategic pricing initiatives across our international portfolio. The role reports to the Deputy Head of Pricing, International and sits within the International Pricing & Planning team as part of the CUO Office.
Responsibilities
Complex Risk Pricing: Support the Deputy Head of Pricing and wider pricing team in the analysis, pricing, and structuring of large and complex insurance and reinsurance contracts across multiple lines of business.
Pricing Tool Development & Improvement: Work closely with class underwriters to develop and enhance pricing tools, ensuring alignment with best‑practice methodologies and introducing new exposure models.
Portfolio Steering & Analytics: Conduct analyses that inform growth strategies and remediation efforts, and participate in the monitoring of key accounts and performance reviews with stakeholders.
Business Planning Support: Produce planning materials, including loss ratio setting and analysis of key drivers such as loss trends and inflation, and contribute to the loss ratio volatility analysis needed for the capital model.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance pricing maturity, contribute to initiatives that support our ambition to be a best‑in‑class pricing function, and engage in peer review processes.
Cross‑functional Collaboration: Partner with colleagues across actuarial, underwriting, and other business functions to deliver high‑quality insights and support cross‑functional projects.
Qualifications
Significant progress towards actuarial qualification with 3+ years of experience.
Practical experience using pricing techniques for Lloyd’s/London Market risks; experience in Casualty, Marine, Aviation or Energy is advantageous.
Experience building and enhancing exposure‑based pricing tools.
Power BI proficiency and coding skills in SQL or Python desirable.
Curious, open‑minded, and proactive, with a desire to continuously improve and learn new skills.
Collaborative mindset and effective teamwork skills.
Demonstrated commitment to delivering high‑quality work.
Strong communication skills across a wide range of stakeholders.
