A leading UK-based automation and systems integration specialist is seeking a Head of Sales - Transport Infrastructure to drive their strategic expansion across light rail, trams, SFRI, and highways infrastructure sectors.
This is a high-impact role for an experienced sales leader with deep knowledge of infrastructure projects and a strong track record in solution selling.
The Role
As Head of Sales , you'll play a pivotal part in growing the Transport Infrastructure segment, particularly light rail and trams. You’ll be the face of the business in this space, building relationships, shaping proposals, and securing high-value opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute market strategy for the transport infrastructure sector
- Lead client engagements and develop tailored automation solutions
- Leverage past project success and personal market insight to drive new business
- Build and nurture partnerships to maximise solution delivery
- Lead proposal development and coordinate internal bid teams
- Maintain a clear, accurate CRM pipeline and sales forecast
- Represent the business at key events and trade shows
- Act as a thought leader in the infrastructure and automation space
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience in a senior sales role within the Transport Infrastructure sector
- Proven track record in solution-based sales (e.g., VSDs, PLCs, SCADA/HMI, battery and hybrid systems)
- Established client network at senior level
- Strong understanding of digital transformation and systems integration
- Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (desirable)
- Excellent communicator, self-driven, and commercially astute
