Location: North Bristol with travel across the South Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum Established in 2017, the company has been working across the built environment nationwide, servicing clients in Healthcare, Defence, Pharmaceutical, Manufacturing and Educational sectors. We are a multi-disciplined consultancy practice who consistently deliver required outcomes in complex and technical building environments. The Role The company are looking to recruit a technical Project Manager to join their North Bristol office supporting their Southwest and London-based clients on a range of M&E projects ranging up to the value of £5 million or larger projects as a sole focus. They will collaborate with cross-function teams, both internal and external to the business to ensure they deliver successful and dynamic projects. As a Project Manager, you will be expected to work on a wide range of exciting technical projects responsible for planning, executing, and closeout within a variety of sectors from Healthcare, FM to MOD through to feasibility and decarbonisation projects within their Energy Sector. You will play a pivotal role in driving projects, fostering teamwork, and ensuring projects are aligned with client expectations within a live operational environment. Working as part of the wider team you will help to support all aspects of the business from design reviews, site audits and through surveys and specifications. This is very much a flexible role and offers the chance to develop your wider Project Management capability within the live operational environments and experience a variety of sectors and stakeholders. Responsibilities Full project lifecycle management Liaise with stakeholders and subcontractors Develop and manage project scopes, costs, and timelines Obtain necessary approvals and financial sign-off Oversee procurement and monitor costs Ensure safety and quality standards Implement risk mitigation strategies Manage project documentation Facilitate effective communication Support team knowledge sharing Additional Information This role will be based from the North Bristol office with regular travel into London and the surrounding areas. Occasional overnight stays maybe required to support the Kent office. Experience/Competence Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities to meet strict deadlines. Good problem-solving and decision-making skills. Possess a high level of written and verbal communication skills, the ability to simplify and articulate complex problems is a must. Track record in managing and delivering a variety of Mechanical & Electrical projects. Managing multiple stakeholders and projects simultaneously. Experience of working in a highly regulated or critical environment preferred. Minimum of 5 years proven Project Management experience in an M&E, FM, construction or critical environment. Demonstrable evidence of having managed a team. Strong familiarity on working with all MS software including Project. Experience in using CAD is desirable. Preferred Technical Skills Good mechanical or electrical knowledge including BMS Systems. Knowledge of PPM Schedules and Maintenance of Buildings (eg SFG20) Ability to manage and witness commissioning activities. Knowledge of working with and administering standard forms of contract JCT/NEC/Etc Ability to scope projects and work required, writing project briefs for Contractors to work to. Write project briefs for design activities and manage the design process. Basic ability to put together outline budgets and cost plans with assistance from internal QS resources. Good understanding of current CDM regulations and statutory H&S regulations. Qualifications Essential 2+ years Building Services/M&E/Technical experience post qualification. HNC Engineering or Construction/Surveying but with strong M&E Experience or recognised technical qualification. A relevant H&S Qualification, i.e., IOSH or SSSTS, etc. Full UK Driving Licence Preferable Degree in engineering-related field Incorporated or Chartered Engineer with Engineering Council Membership with IET/CIBSE/IMechE/RICS or willingness to work towards membership. NEBOSH General/Construction Certificate Member of the APM or willingness to work towards membership. Benefits A competitive salary of £50,000 to £60,000 per annum plus bonus.
