We have a great opportunity for an individual to work as a Housing and Corporate Debt officer for a local authority initially on a 4 month Temporary basis.

The primary function of the role will be to assist with the recovery of debts including housing income, overpaid housing benefit and sundry debts.

The role will involve contacting customers, setting up and monitoring payment arrangements and taking recovery action where arrangements fail.

There will be an element of taking inbound calls, but the predominant function will be general debt management work including outbound calling and ensuring timely and correct information is gathered to support the court process which is fundamental in maximising financial funds for the authority.

Experience of the following areas would be a major advantage * Benefits systems knowledge and experience * Housing knowledge * Northgate system * Local Government experience You will be working 37 hours per week and there will be the opportunity of Hybrid working for this position.

This will be on a temporary basis with an immediate start and will be working until the end of August.
