We are currently seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Student Support Offi cer.
Job Descri ption: As a Student Support Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our educational institution.
You will be responsible for providing administrative support to various departments and assisting students with their queries and concerns.
Your attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and strong communication abilities will contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our administrative pro cesses.
Responsi bilities: Provide exceptional customer service to students, staff, and visitors, both in person and over the phone.
Assist students with their inquiries, including admissions, course registrations, timetables, and general in formation.
Maintain accurate student records and databases, ensuring data confidentiality and compliance with data protection re gulations.
Assist in organizing and coordinating events, workshops, and student a ctivities.
Handle general administrative tasks such as photocopying, filing, and managing office supplies.
Support the admissions process by processing applications, conducting interviews, and assisting with enrolment p rocedures.
Collaborate with various departments to ensure smooth communication and coordination of administrat ive tasks.
Undertake any other administrative duties as required by the manage ment team.
Education and Qua lifications: Bachelor’s degree from a recognis ed university Experience & amp; Know ledge: Essential Knowledge in Customer S ervice Standards Ability to prioritise competing deadlines and workloads, while maintaining a high l evel of accuracy Highly developed oral and written comm unication skills Ability to work on own initiative, demonstrating a positive approach to problem solving.
Willingness to learn and develop and contribute to the wider activities of Student Support an d of the school.
Demonstrate empathy to understand and address stu dents’ concerns.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
Strong interpersonal skills for building rapport and trus t with students.
Capacity to assess situations and provide prac tical solutions.
Ability to adapt to changing circumstances an d student needs.
Proficiency in using IT technology to record and search st udent dat a base.
Desirable Higher Educ ation Experience Knowledge of counselling techniques to provide em otional s upport.
