Description :Everest is building a dynamic Energy and Construction team to provide market leading capacity and service across Underwriting, Claims and Risk Engineering. We support clients through the energy transition providing cover for assets across the Oil and Gas, Power and Renewables sectors. We are seeking an experienced technical Claims Adjuster as a key part of our service proposition to our clients and brokers, working as an integral part of our team alongside our experienced Underwriters and Risk Engineers. Everest’s value commitments include: providing an inclusive work environment that offers employees the opportunity to further their development, supporting our communities through the donation of time and financial resources, maintaining our integrity across all aspects of the group, and being an industry innovator to solve global complex risks.Role Purpose:The Energy Claims Adjuster will be accountable for applying a pro-active adjusting strategy across their portfolio which includes the following:-To provide support to the Claims LeaderBe accountable for ensuring a high standard of claims adjusting across the portfolioProviding direction and handling in a lead and follow capacityWork with the underwriters and actuarial to provide insights on claims trends, wordings and coverage mattersYou will have responsibility for large losses and the establishment of reserves and strategies deployedWork to support our claims strategy with brokers and clients and deliver against our key performance indicators Key Accountabilities:A tenacious work ethic with a focus on achieving pro-active case management, continuous development and customer satisfaction.Accountable for delivering closure on cases in their portfolio within established case reservesAbility to identify potential exposures and able to implement a clear and dynamic settlement strategyAttending external market meetings and client meetings and represent the company’s interestsResponsible for monitoring and management of investigation, adjustment and litigation expenses are within scope and budgetAssist in the management and oversight of third party administrators claims authorityStrong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to deliver or present to all audiencesSkills & Competencies: Technical expertise – significant experience across our Energy segments in Energy (Power and Renewables) both in domestic and international insurance marketsCollaborative approach – a proven team player with the capacity to work with peers in the market and persuade, influence and drive decisions.Extensive experience and knowledge of all Lloyd’s/London/ market requirementsPerformance characteristics – a high achiever with a passion for delivering quality reports and results often against tight deadlinesProfessional Experience:Ideally ACII qualified or equivalentDegree standard or equivalent or with relevant industry experienceMicrosoft Word, Excel, Access, Power Point and OutlookECF2 and Trax experienceCompetencies:The role holder will be required to embrace the Everest Core Values: Collaboration, Thoughtful Assumption Of Risk, Execution, Humility and Leadership.
