Job DescriptionFRA is currently seeking a Director with expertise in the disputes space to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in expanding and strengthening our litigation team, while also actively contributing to the generation of new business opportunities. Becoming a testifying expert in your own right and building and maintaining a professional profile in key markets and professional registers is a key aspect of this position. Our growing litigation practice is centered around leveraging accounting, financial, and data analysis expertise to assist our clients in addressing their critical issues. You will work closely with a team of experts to tackle challenges across a wide range of areas, and will be a collaborative influence. You will assist with spreading technical expertise and experience within the FRA team at all levelsDay to Day ResponsibilitiesBuilding and leading the litigation team: As a Director, you will be responsible for building and developing a team of professionals with expertise in litigation support and valuation. This includes hiring, training, and providing guidance to team members.Client and Business development: You will play a significant role in generating new business opportunities for the firm. This involves actively networking, leveraging existing and establishing wider relationships with potential clients, and showcasing the firm's expertise in litigation, arbitration, accounting, financial analysis, and data analysis.Expertise development: You will be expected to build on your experience and case history to become a testifying expert in your field by staying updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices. This expertise will enable you to provide high-quality services to clients and guide your team effectively.Complex issue resolution: Working closely with client and experts, you will address complex issues in commercial litigation and arbitration, business valuations, and investigations. This may involve conducting financial damage analysis, determining lost profits, valuing businesses and assets, and assessing the work performed by independent auditors.Report drafting and testimony: You will lead and coordinate the input of others to the preparation of expert reports, ensuring they accurately present the analysis, findings, and conclusions. In certain cases, you may be required to testify in court as an expert witness based on your analysis and expertise. Communication and presentations to clients is a key part of this role.Statistical analysis: You will utilize your expertise to develop and evaluate projections and forecasts. This involves working with large data sets, creating and managing financial models, and applying statistical analysis techniques to derive insights and make informed decisions.This description is not designed to encompass a comprehensive listing of required activities, duties or responsibilities.Required Skills & ExperienceBachelor or Master’s Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics/Statistics or professionally qualified accountant e.g. ACA. ACCA, CPA, CFA, CFE etc. or equivalent experienceDeep experience in litigation, forensic investigation/advanced data analytics techniques; prior professional and financial services experience strongly preferredProven track record of establishing credibility with clients and senior stakeholders quickly, creating business development opportunities and leading written and/or oral proposals to clientsPossess a developed network of current contacts in the market and a positive market profileDemonstrate a practical understanding of the legislative and risk management requirementsHands on experience of leading, scoping and defining large and complex projects which run concurrentlyDemonstrable experience of successfully managing client relationshipsProficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPointProven ability to lead, motivate and develop larger teams with particular focus on personal and professional growth to contribute to revenue generationProven track record of managing the risks and financials associated with client engagementsHands on experience of drafting reports, submissions and other deliverables for presentation to clientsProven ability to clearly articulate complex and technical findings in both written and oral presentations for a variety of audiences including those not well versed in the technical aspects of Data AnalyticsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong work ethic, attention to detail and an enquiring mindWillingness to travel, if required About UsFRA is a market leader in regulatory compliance, financial investigations, and data analytics.
