Vacancy – HGV MECHANIC
ESS Employment Ltd are looking to employ an HGV Mechanic to work with an established client who are looking for a Level 3 Qualified Mechanic to join their friendly team. The successful applicant will be working directly under the Workshop Manager in the workshop on fleet vehicles.
Duties for the role:
•Working on a mixture of vehicles.
•Vehicle inspections.
•Trailer Inspections.
•General servicing and pre-planned maintenance.
•Reactive maintenance as required.
•MOT preparation and presentation.
•Full vehicle overhauls / engine and gear box repairs.
•Tyre work.
•Fault finding and Diagnosis.
•Breakdown recovery.
•Working to DVSA standards.
The successful candidate:
•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
•Be qualified to City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Heavy vehicle Mechanics, Maintenance & Repair or equivalent.
•Previous experience as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter is essential.
•LGV licence C + E essential
•Able to work as part of a small team or independently.
•Capability to report correct information to colleagues.
