Expanding our UK Operations, we are looking for an on-site HSE Coordinator.
Responsibilities
Site-based role; support the Site Management Team to identify needs and escalate to the SHEQ Manager.
Review and implement health and safety policies, procedures, risk assessments, and site inspections.
Provide advice and support to all staff and managers on safe systems of work, emergency procedures, and control measures.
Deliver engaging training in health and safety, such as toolbox talks and site inductions.
Support the SHEQ Manager with site and internal health and safety audits to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Monitor and analyse incidents, assign severity ratings, and ensure effective investigations; contribute to Serious Incident Reviews and report RIDDOR events as required. Ensure all incidents are recorded in the accident book.
Collaborate with internal teams and external bodies (including the HSE) to maintain compliance and drive continuous improvement.
Promote a proactive safety culture by involving staff and communicating key information clearly and effectively.
Collect and correlate all CDM and relevant documentation, including COSHH, PUWER, LOLER, RAMS Reviews; review CPP, Site FRA, Emergency AP, and similar site CDM Documentation in collaboration with the SHEQ Manager.
Undertake Fire Drills with the Site Management.
Monitor and ensure maintenance of all Environmental and Ecological protection and exclusion zones. Qualifications
NVQ Level 3 in Occupational Health and Safety
3 years of experience in projects related to the construction of PV Ground Mount systems, Steel Structures or Civils Industry
Green CSCS Card to allow for site operation
NEBOSH GNC
Experience in construction safety management systems and electrical safety management
IOSH Managing Health and Safety in Construction is an advantage
Knowledge of HSSE regulations, CDM, COSHH, PUWER, LOLER
IT experience and familiarity with Microsoft Office
Able to travel throughout the UK for managing multiple projects What we offer
