We have a fantastic opportunity for a Risk Management Specialist to join our Optronics and Missile Electronics (OME) UK team in Glasgow.
What the role has to offer: Full representation and accountability for Risk Management for OME in the UK from a Bid and Project Management perspective.
An opportunity to develop and shape risk management team within the Project/Bid Management function.

Ensure that all risks & opportunities are identified, reported, managed and controlled at an appropriate level and quality using KPI’s for quality.
Manage the pre and post contingency values in the risk toolset through coordination with finance and project control change processes Co-ordinate the compilation of R&O management reports for both internal & external reporting & reviews Perform / Co-ordinate both schedule & cost risk analysis (SRA & CRA) quarterly and on demand for significant changes Prepare project risk & opportunity reports to support formal programme reviews.
Manage Overall Risk Exposure – producing relevant outputs to support decision making and Senior Management / Customer briefings Develop, deploy and improve standards (governance, processes, methods and tools) for programme and bids.
About you: Experience in a standalone Risk Management role, providing an effective Risk Management service in a complex multiple project delivery environment (and within large-scale complex systems).
Experience that demonstrates a practical knowledge of the full business lifecycle management, including capture, qualification and developing capture plans and winning strategies.
Experience of client and stakeholder management in a complex, multi-disciplinary, multi-site project management context.
Security Clearance statement: Due to the nature of the work that we do at Thales, many of our roles are subject to security restrictions.
This role requires you to be a UK National and achieve Security Clearance (SC) without any caveats.
It would be advantageous if currently held, however, if not currently held, it is a requirement that the successful applicant undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance prior to commencing employment.
If approved by the MOD, a dual national from a Non-ITAR country may be considered.
