About the Role:

As a Teacher of History and Politics you will play a crucial role in shaping students understanding of the past present and future. You will deliver engaging and thoughtprovoking lessons guide students in their independent research and foster their critical thinking and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan deliver and evaluate engaging History and Politics lessons for ALevel students ensuring alignment with exam board specifications and the colleges academic standards.
• Foster a love of learning and encourage students to explore historical and political concepts with curiosity and enthusiasm.
• Develop and implement innovative curriculum initiatives that incorporate current events diverse perspectives and engaging teaching methodologies.
• Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and challenged to reach their full potential.
• Build positive and supportive relationships with students promoting intellectual curiosity and a passion for history and politics.
• Play an active role in the department contributing to curriculum development assessment strategies and departmental meetings.

The Ideal Candidate:

• A qualified Teacher of History and/or Politics with a demonstrable track record of success in engaging students and fostering their understanding of historical and political concepts.
• Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for both disciplines with a strong understanding of historical periods political systems and current affairs.
• Strong pedagogical skills with the ability to deliver innovative and effective lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
