This is an excellent opportunity for an Associate or Senior Associate (5+ PQE) to join one of the UK's Top 100 law firms , working within a highly regarded Business Support and Insolvency team that continues to grow across the country.
Based in Cardiff , you will work closely with the Partner who leads the national team, taking immediate responsibility for supervising junior colleagues and advising a high-calibre client base. The team operates nationally, acting for insolvency practitioners, banks, lenders, investors, directors and companies , and handles matters of significant scale and complexity across the UK.
You will be involved in the full breadth of corporate and personal insolvency work, both contentious and transactional , including administration appointments, business sales, security reviews, bankruptcy estates and directors\' loan accounts. You will already have a strong working knowledge of the Insolvency Act 1986, Insolvency Rules 2016 and Companies Act 2006 , and ideally some experience with LPA Receiverships . Responsibilities
Supervise junior colleagues and advise a high-calibre client base
Handle the full breadth of corporate and personal insolvency work, both contentious and transactional
Manage administration appointments, business sales, security reviews, bankruptcy estates and directors' loan accounts
Engage with insolvency practitioners, banks, lenders, investors, directors and companies
Apply knowledge of Insolvency Act 1986, Insolvency Rules 2016 and Companies Act 2006; experience with LPA Receiverships preferred Qualifications
Associate or Senior Associate level with 5+ PQE
Strong working knowledge of insolvency law and related statutes
Experience in either contentious or advisory insolvency preferred; ability to develop into a rounded insolvency specialist Ideal candidate
Technically strong, commercially astute and people focused
Ready to lead and mentor junior colleagues
Keen to raise their profile in the insolvency market
