Commercial Property Solicitor / Associate We have a fantastic opportunity for a Real Estate Associate (circa 2 PQE) to join our market leading team. The role will include a wide range of commercial and Real Estate transactional work including Landlord and Tenant matters, commercial leases, investment and disposal transactions, including portfolio transactions. The role will suit someone who has excellent people skills who is looking to develop their career within a friendly collegiate team that is widely recognised for its expertise in this area. Whether working with an investor, developer, or occupier you will be part of a team that is responsive, focused and will get things moving. Within the team, they have the full range of expertise needed to advise throughout the entire property asset life-cycle from planning, investment and management advice to sale, redevelopment or onward sale and leaseback. They advise on every aspect of commercial property, at all levels of the team. Role and Responsibilities (this is a broad but not exhaustive list)Deliver highly efficient, professional and creative service to the existing clients of the department Deliver advice of the highest technical competence, including in relation to complex portfolio sales and purchases and development Ensure the retention of clients allocated to him/her and further enhancement of our relationship with them Proactively seek to work with other Group members in the marketing of the firm’s services and the expansion of the Real Estate’s business of the firm Assist when requested with the cover of the cases of other Group fee earners during holidays or their absences abroad on business Contribute to the smooth administration of the firm’s Real Estate Group’s business Demonstrate a background in landlord and tenant work, corporate support and investment acquisitions and disposals Person Specification Be confident to work autonomously and as part of a team Demonstrate excellent time management skills Have the ability to win the confidence of clients and members of the Real Estate team Have effective, sound decision making and excellent organisational skills Be organised and capable of running a significant number of files and work matters simultaneously Have the ability to develop effective working relations at all levels Have technical expertise, of both commercial and mixed use real estate including in research of difficult matters Be confident in both verbal and written communication with a diverse range of clients Have a flexible approach and willing to go the extra mile Have financial acumen and a strong commercial approach to legal practice Have the ability to sell the services of the Real Estate Group Have a genuine interest in our clients’ affairs/businesses Competencies required Delivery Focused Technical Ability Attention to Detail Collaboration
