Location: Exeter, Devon (in-person at our Exeter clinic).
Time commitment: Full-time preferred; part-time (minimum of 3 days per week for HCPC, NMC, and Social Work England registered professionals, and minimum of 2 days per week for GMC registered professionals). Self-employed roles are also available with days as above.
Reporting to: Autism Service Team Manager.
Salary (illustrative ranges by role):
Allied healthcare professionals and social workers: £74,000–£80,000 per year (dependent on experience).
Practitioner psychologists (clinical, educational, counselling): £80,000–£85,000 per year (dependent on experience).
GMC-registered clinicians: competitive salary depending on experience.

The Opportunity
Paloma Health has developed a gold-standard autism assessment pathway and our own Patient Record software. We offer:

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary assessment team, delivering:
In-person child observations at the Exeter clinic.
Peer MDT diagnostic decision-making with senior clinical MDT support when required.
Responsibilities
Conduct high-quality child observations as part of an autism assessment.
Act in accordance with Paloma Safeguarding Policy, including risk assessments where necessary.
Maintain up-to-date mandatory training and professional qualification requirements, including CPD.
Qualifications and experience
Required:
Professional Registration with HCPC, NMC, or Social Work England.
Relevant professional roles (examples): Psychologist (HCPC), Occupational Therapist (HCPC), Speech and Language Therapist (HCPC), Nurse (NMC), Social Worker (Social Work England).
Completion of a recognised ADOS-2 course is required for NMC, HCPC, and Social Work England registered applicants. Clinical Psychologists may be considered without ADOS-2.
At least 1 year of experience delivering children’s observations within an autism assessment process (ages typically 5–18; or broader age ranges as applicable).
Strong parent and patient communication skills.
Enhanced DBS with barred list check (working with children).
Experience in conducting risk assessments within an autism assessment service.
Safeguarding training (Level 3 or above).
