The role In this pivotal position, you will be responsible for driving international marketing strategies that bridge global directives with local market execution by developing a deep understanding of partner market dynamics.
Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will develop, implement, and oversee strategic marketing initiatives to ensure the successful commercialization of our endocrinology portfolio.
You will act as the ‘Voice of the International Market Customer’ in supporting the Global Marketing organization.
This role offers an exciting blend of strategic vision, hands-on execution, and collaboration across diverse teams and markets.
The role should be based at one of our Ascendis European offices (UK, France, Spain, Germany, Denmark) with the flexibility to work remotely.
Regular travel (~50%) to the Copenhagen headquarters, partner markets, industry events, and stakeholder meetings will be required.
Flexibility in work hours may be necessary to accommodate global time zones.
You will report to the VP of International Markets, Roy Khoury and work closely with the respective Heads of International Medical Affairs, Market Access & Business Analytics.
Your Responsibilities Strategic Planning Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies for the endocrinology portfolio acting as a bridge between global marketing teams and local territory partner execution.
Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and patient needs to inform strategy.
Brand Management Drive brand positioning and value proposition for the endocrinology portfolio therapies across international markets.
Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all marketing channels.
Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with global marketing, R& D, regulatory, market access, and medical affairs teams to align marketing strategies with business objectives.
Collaborate with regional partner teams to tailor strategies that meet local market needs.
Market Access and Commercialization Support and implement go-to-market strategies that optimize product access and reimbursement.
Identify opportunities for partnerships and collaborations to enhance market presence Patient and Healthcare Professional Engagement Design and oversee initiatives to educate healthcare professionals and stakeholders on endocrinology rare disease management and treatment options.
Facilitate patient-centric marketing strategies to increase awareness and support for rare diseases.
Performance Metrics Define success metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives.
Conduct regular market research and analyse data to optimize marketing efforts.
Advocate for fair reimbursement policies and favourable market conditions for life sciences products.
Project Management Lead and manage multiple core marketing projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to deadlines.
Prepare progress reports and updates for senior management and other stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Life Sciences, or a related field; MBA preferred.
At least 10 years of international strategic and executional marketing experience within the life sciences sector.
Proven expertise in developing marketing strategies with partners in global markets.
Strong analytical, business acumen, and decision-making skills.
Demonstrated leadership and project management capabilities.
Experience in endocrinology, rare diseases, or specialty pharmaceuticals is highly desirable.
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and health authority interactions.
Proficiency in multiple languages is a plus.
