Simmons and Hanbury have been instructed by one of the world's leading publishing groups on a Legal Counsel hire into their top tier legal team in London.
Key Responsibilities
As Legal Counsel you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the legal and compliance of the group both regionally and globally. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing legal assistance on a broad range of commercial, IP and licensing agreements across the group.
- Working closely with business advisors, providing legal advice to assist them in their decision making.
- Playing a crucial role in the success and development of the General Counsel's office at group level.
Experience Required
- Between 2-4 years PQE having trained with an established commercial practice at a leading UK/US law firm OR In-house.
- European qualified lawyer with a strong academic record.
- Contract drafting and negotiating with experience advising on privacy/GDPR topics.
