We’re recruiting for a Nearly/Newly Qualified Actuary to join our Group Treasury Function as a Liquidity Manager. We’re offering acompetitive base salary as well as a host of other great benefits. As a Liquidity Manager you willwork on liquidity optimisation projects to drive change and growth to our existing liquidity infrastructure in order to maximise the liquidity that is available for investment across the Group. As well as playing a pivotal role in building, implementing and scaling a new liquidity reporting function which will allow us to forecast liquidity generation going forwards. What you'll be doing:
  • Developing, implementing and managing a robust, regular consolidated liquidity reporting capability for the purposes of forecasting liquidity generation by Business Unit.
  • Creating liquidity forecasts and tracking how actual liquidity generation compares to these forecasts. This will include presenting the results to Group/Senior stakeholders to allow them to make decisions and/or to improve control and performance.
  • Undertaking liquidity optimisation projects to drive change and growth to the existing liquidity infrastructure in order to maximise the liquidity that is available for investment across the Group while maintaining our liquidity risk appetite.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the group to develop an understanding, identify opportunities and recognise emerging risks with regards to liquidity.
  • Working with second line and Group ALM to develop, propose and implement strategies to ensure the integrity of stress testing for liquidity and collateral.
  • Keeping yourself informed of the latest communication with the Prudential Regulation Authority and ensuring that L&G Group adheres to all relevant regulations.
  • Ensuring that the processes and systems in place provide support to Group Treasury and meet any regulatory obligations and are also in line with Legal & General’s Consumer Duty commitments.
  • Qualifications Who we're looking for:
  • A Nearly/Newly Qualified Actuary
  • Strong Excel skills, with good data analysis and modelling capabilities
  • An understanding/knowledge of UK Financial Markets (including the markets in which Group Treasury operates)
  • Previous Balance Sheet experience – E.g. Solvency II or MA exposure – would be highly preferrable
  • An understanding/knowledge of Liquidity Risk, including how this is measured and regulations/legislation that affect Liquidity Risk would be highly preferrable
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across the group with stakeholders at various levels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor the information to suit the requirements of the intended audience
