This role will provide support to Alvita. Alvita is Alliance Healthcare's label brand of competitively priced, high-quality patient care products.
Alvita is Alliance Healthcare's own brand of patient care products, with over 650 products covering medical devices, cosmetics and biocides, currently sold in 7 markets across Europe., with plans for further potential expansion.
This role requires an individual who can be flexible, deliver at pace, deal with ambiguity and demonstrate a strong capability for developing productive internal and external cross-functional working relationships.
This role will need to develop solid and productive working relationships with key suppliers to facilitate the successful development of the Alvita range and implementation of the sourcing strategy.
This role will work collaboratively with colleagues across other critical functions within Alliance Healthcare, both within the divisional and local teams.

Key Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for developing RFQ templates and analysis models to enable consistent briefing to suppliers and standardised assessment of commercial offers.
You will be accountable for preparing RFQ's against the product and commercial brief set by the central brand and local commercial teams. Issuing the agreed RFQ to suppliers, evaluating the product and commercial offers received and managing the commercial negotiation to obtain the optimal commercial and supply terms.
You will be responsible for delivering the agreed NPD projects per quarter, ready for handover to the regulatory and quality functions to contribute to the successful launch of new products by the targeted launch date and agreed budget and long-range plan.
You will be a crucial driver and demonstrate an innovative approach to obtaining market intelligence from suppliers and other sources. This can support the brand and local commercial teams in developing long-term NPD plans.
You will be responsible for collating data from suppliers and providing formal handover to Quality and Regulatory teams to enable new suppliers and new products to be assessed to ensure compliance with Group due diligence requirements for both the supplier and product.
You will lead the preparation and execution of Alvita Commercial Supply Agreements within the agreed timeframes in the Alvita NPD plan and by company policies. Ensuring all Supply Agreements are maintained and up to date.
You will be responsible for ensuring that the costs of goods (COGs) remain competitive to maximise profitability in the Alvita range. Lead periodic supplier renegotiations to deliver agreed year-on-year COG improvement.
You will play a critical role in the Monthly Operational NPD Meetings with the European Business units.

Skills and Requirements:

You will be a self-starter with solid stakeholder management experience. You will have excellent communication skills at all levels.
You will have demonstrable business experience in a commercial role.
You will have experience working with FMCG and experience with medical devices, which is desirable.
You will have experience of working with overseas teams.
Working with Far East/Low-Cost Country sourcing experience will be preferred.

Travel / Office Working

It is estimated that the role requires less than 10% travel.
The candidate would be expected to work from the Surrey office 2 – 3 days per week.
