Job Context:

Almus is a generic brand of medicines owned by Alliance Healthcare. Almus is marketed in 5 European markets and has approx. 450 products within the range. The legal status of Almus in each market varies; in some markets, Almus is a marketing authorisation holder, Exploit ant or own label distributor.
Alvita is Alliance Healthcare's brand of patient care products, with over 650 products covering medical devices, cosmetics and biocides, currently sold in 7 markets across Europe., with plans for further potential expansion.
The Almus and Alvita ranges are supplied by over 85 suppliers located in 35 different countries.

Key Responsibilities:

You will lead the development and maintenance of the Alvita Quality Management Systems. Support the ongoing development of both QMS centrally and across all EU affiliates, ensuring compliant systems use.
You will be responsible for developing appropriate central and local procedures and working practices, in collaboration with central and local teams, to ensure Alvita complies with all European and national regulations and internal policies. Provide training as author or subject matter expert.
You will work with the central Quality team and sourcing colleagues to ensure all relevant technical agreements are in place with manufacturers for Alvita products before supply commencement and reviewed periodically.
You will support the NPD process for Alvita teams and Almus affiliates. Participate in cross-functional project meetings to deliver NPD projects to plan and share expertise across the business.
You will be responsible for managing the qualification of Alvita suppliers by NPD project timelines, supporting the extension of the Alvita range by the growth plan.
You will support the delivery of the ethical audit schedule with third-party providers, supplying Alvita by an agreed audit schedule. Manage the follow-up of audits, implementation of CAPA's and appropriate closure to promptly ensure effective resolution of audit findings. You will conduct Risk Assessments following a Quality Incident or identified non-conformance that could require in-market action, such as a product recall.
You will work with the Central Quality team to to generate and/or review GMP Product Quality Reviews for all Almus products in the market per the defined schedule.
You will prepare Product Quality Reviews for all Almus products by a defined schedule.

Skills and Requirements:

You will be a self-starter with solid stakeholder management experience. You will have excellent communication skills at all levels.
Experience working within the Medical Device and Pharmaceutical Industry.
Experience in both Quality Assurance and Production.
You will know appropriate European regulations and guidelines within the Medical Devices and Pharmaceutical Industry.

Travel / Office Working

It is estimated that the role requires less than 10% travel.
The candidate would be expected to work from the Surrey office 2 – 3 days per week.
