Mechanical Assembler position available with a globally operating engineering organisation. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a leading organisation that supplies the Oil & Gas industry with critical systems, products and services. Initially established almost 200 years ago, this impressive engineering organisation now employs around 30,000 people in over 500 different locations across the world. Following continued demand of their products & services, this employer has created an excellent opportunity for an Mechanical Assembler to join their team on an initial contract basis for 8 months (this could be extended or even be offered as permanent, but this is not guaranteed). This Mechanical Assembler is based in Aberdeen, meaning that the successful individual will easily be able to surrounding towns & cities including Inverurie, Ellon, Stonehaven and Banchory. Key responsibilities of the Mechanical Assembler will include: Drawing Interpretation: Read and interpret mechanical drawings to guide assembly processes accurately. Assembly and Repair: Position components for assembly and conduct repairs as necessary, ensuring adherence to quality standards. Quality Reporting: Regularly report on the quality issues encountered during day-to-day assembly and fitting of ISE product lines. Efficient Problem Solving: Actively participate in on-time assembly by employing specific techniques, innovative idea generation, and efficient problem-solving methods. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with a team of manufacturing technicians to maintain high-quality standards, aiming for products to meet expectations right the first time and on schedule. For the Mechanical Assembler, we are keen to receive application from individuals who possess: Apprentice Trained / time served / HNC Familiarity with assembly and manufacturing settings, encompassing the preparation of components Ability to read and understand Engineering drawings FLT & overhead Crane Licence would be advantageous Details of the Mechanical Assembler position will include: Hourly Rate: £18.02 - £22.72 (Umbrella PAYE) Overtime - paid over 39 hours at 50% - Saturdays under 4 hours 50%Saturdays over 4 hours & Sundays 100% Working Hours: 39 Hours per week Monday to Thursday - 07:00 to 15:30 Friday -07:00 to 14:30 Contract Length: 3 Months - potential for extension but not guaranteed To apply for the Mechanical Assembler, please click "Apply Now" and attach a copy of your updated CV.
