The Caring Family Foundation

In 2019 we set up The Caring Family Foundation in response to a desire to feel more connected to the impact and outcome of our philanthropy. We wanted to focus on causes close to our hearts and be hands-on, remaining close to the journeys of the families and communities we work alongside. Our foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of women, with children at the heart of all that we do. Our work tackles child poverty, domestic abuse and reforestation in the UK and Brazil.
As the Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in helping the foundation achieve its mission. Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer, you will assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the foundation and contribute to the development and execution of our philanthropic strategies.

Key Responsibilities :
Hands-On Management: Lead and supervise the operational team to ensure the smooth execution of all projects and initiatives.

Resource Allocation: Manage resources effectively, including budgeting, procurement, and allocation of personnel, to support program delivery.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for streamlining operational processes and implementing efficient systems to enhance productivity and effectiveness.

Quality Control: Maintain high standards of quality across all operational activities, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including community partners, donors, and volunteers, to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.

Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate operational risks to minimize disruptions and ensure continuity of services.

Performance Monitoring: Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of operational initiatives and drive continuous improvement.

Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor foundation staff and project managers, providing guidance and support to ensure effective and efficient operations.

- Must have experience in operations management in the non-profit sector.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and empower staff.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
