Your Role as a Chef de Partie - Wok Chef
Setting up the kitchen prior to a restaurant's opening.
Preparing a particular kitchen station by preparing all necessary mise en place.
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
Assisting with marinating, cutting and precooking foods.
Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures.
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen area.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen.
Cleaning the kitchen before the restaurant closes.
Wrapping unused items and storing them in proper areas at the end of a shift.
Assist with meal preparation and ensure all food is cooked in a timely manner.
Plating food creatively and maximising customer enjoyment. Qualifications
Your Experience:
Previous experience working as a line cook or Chef de Partie - Wok Chef in a restaurant or culinary environment is preferred
Knowledge of Southeast Asian food preparation and cooking techniques.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately.
Your Skills:
Excellent cooking skills and knowledge of various Southeast Asian cooking methods - stir-fry, steam, braise, grill, fried.
Skilled with wok and all other kitchen equipment and utensils.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
