Are you an experienced Service Manager with knowledge of domestic violence support?Have you managed an coordinated a third / charity sector project?We are searching for a Refuge Manager (also known as a Project Manager) for 2 refuge services based in Merthyr Tydfil and Bridgend.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS AN INTERIM ROLE TO COVER FOR A MINIMUM OF 3 MONTHS - POSSIBLY LONGERWhat are the basics?Salary of 28,116 (15.75 per hour)3 month temporary contract (may go on for longer).

Working hours are 9.30am to 5pm (these are the core hours).35 hours per week.

Extra payments for on-call and out of hours work.

On-call is usually 1 in every 8 or 10 weeks (subject to change).25 days annual leave entitlement + 8 bank holidays.

What will you do?Oversee the service delivery of refuge accommodation in Bridgend and Merthyr Tydfil for women and children fleeing domestic abuse.

Direct line management of Support Workers and Support Assistants.

Attend internal and external partnership / safety meetings (MAPPA, MARAC etc.).

Work with other charities, services and partners.

Monitor service performance and outcomes.

Create reports and communicate information to senior management.

Deal with crisis situations and safeguarding issues.

Assist with the on-call rota and cover shifts during sickness / absence.

Attend out-of-ours during emergency situations.

What do we need?Someone with experience of managing a service in the housing / domestic violence sector.

The ability to effectively manage difficult situations.

Excellent knowledge of VAWDASV.

An understanding of the effects of domestic abuse on women, children and families.

Good knowledge of housing service management.

Caring, compassionate, calm and non-judgemental.

Committed to making a real difference to peoples lives.

Knowledge of trauma informed practice, ACEs and PIE.
