Dev On Software is expanding globally and we are looking for an experienced Sales director to play a key role in this growth.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader who will need to generate new business for Dev On through headhunting and networking efforts and through managing a team of Business Development Execs.
We are looking for an entrepreneur who has a strong network in the UK and is ready to show them how Dev On can transform their organization.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the UK Business Development team , driving new business and building lasting partnerships across Europe.
Headhunt and network extensively to bring in new clients, specifically in the software development services space, including consultancy in AI, Dev Ops, and Agile.
Design custom solutions tailored to client needs, covering full project scope, development, pricing, and negotiation.
Maintain close relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction, repeat business, and long-term collaboration.
Collaborate with internal teams, including recruitment and delivery teams, to address regional skill gaps and ensure successful project delivery.
Set the tone for your team by developing, coaching, and mentoring team members to achieve their goals.
Act as an entrepreneurial leader for Dev On, constantly exploring opportunities for innovation, growth, and process improvements.
Oversee the financial health of the region, working closely with the CFO to manage profitability, margins, and ensure financial sustainability.
Build Dev On’s brand presence by engaging in marketing strategies , attending industry conferences, meetups, seminars, and thought leadership forums.
Job Requirements: 10 years of business development experience within the IT services industry, with a strong emphasis on selling software development services and consultancy.
Demonstrated success in building and implementing commercial strategies that have resulted in sustained growth and market expansion.
Proven track record of Sales Excellence selling IT or software services to enterprise-level clients.
Extensive experience in hunting for new business opportunities , combined with a strong, established network in the UK market.
Expertise in offshoring software services to regions such as India, with a strong understanding of global delivery models.
Exceptional leadership skills, with experience leading high-performing business development teams and consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to think strategically and drive business growth in new and existing markets.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to engage with C-suite executives and close high-value deals.
Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and build relationships.
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree ; an MBA or equivalent is preferred.
