The jobholder is responsible for active Member engagement to ensure that a consistent approach is maintained across the Membership in respect of complying with the rules of the scheme.

Key Duties (including but not limited to):

• To be a focal point of the underwriting team for Terrorism issues in general, including:
• Manage and respond to enquiries from Members and others regarding the application of the scheme, underwriting policy, the reinsurance agreements, scheme guide, and other matters relating to the technical handling of Terrorism Cover, providing a timely, professional, and efficient response.
• Identify trends and concerns which may arise out of Members’ engagements and enquiries and recommend appropriate changes to the Scheme’s arrangements.
• Support the Head of Underwriting in the Treaty annual renewal process. Assist in collating Member information and the presentation and negotiation of renewal terms with Members.
• Work with the Head of Exposure Management in the implementation of the annual exercise for the declaration of Members' exposures and collaborate with the Exposure Management team.
• Support the finance team with the collection of premium.

Minimum Requirements:

• Educated to A Level or Degree Level and/or holding the ACII or FCII qualification.
• Evidence of further CPD and/or additional qualifications relating to the insurance industry.
• In-depth experience working in a similar capacity in the UK insurance industry and within the UK commercial insurance sector.
• In-depth technical knowledge of Property and Business Interruption wordings for commercial companies and a good understanding of the legal and other practices pertaining to that market.
