Job Summary
Responsible for promoting the use of industry and Company technology standards. Monitors emerging technologies/technology practices for potential use. This crucial role is responsible for designing, structuring, and implementing technology solutions to meet business needs.
Job Description Core Responsibilities
Be the champion and technical authority of our customer. Understand their vision and articulate how they can best leverage our solutions.
Develop high-quality designs and specifications, effectively communicating these to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Take ownership of your solutions and collaborate to see them through the full lifecycle.
Evaluate, experiment, compare and prototype different approaches, technologies, and solution designs, fostering an open-minded approach.
Keep learning by staying up to date with technology and media industry developments.
Share your knowledge through mentoring, training, and brown-bag sessions.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of our agile methodology, knowledge base, and tools.
Assist pre-sales with estimates, proposals, and high-level architectures.
Occasional travel within the UK and internationally may be required. Skills & Experience
Experience in the Media (or neighbouring industry) is required.
Strong verbal and written communication.
A strong sense of responsibility and ownership for the success of projects.
Excellent stakeholder management and a collaborative team approach.
Ability to articulate solutions through diagrams, models, and abstractions.
Experience in building cloud-native solutions and/or utilizing SAAS platforms.
Designing complex integrations, especially with REST based web services.
Experience with some of the technologies we make use of: Groovy, Python, AWS Serverless (API Gateway, Lambdas), XML, JSON, Open API, virtualisation in general and especially Docker and its eco system, Git, No SQL products and concepts (Dynamo, column family, etc.)
Exposure to at least one of main programming languages Java or C#. Net. Preferable
A degree in Computer Science or equivalent relevant experience.
Experience in Professional Services or Consulting.
Demonstrable experience as a Solution Architect in an enterprise environment.
Experience with systems handling high transaction volumes with low latency requirements.
Knowledge of web application architectures and agile development practices.
Experience with SAAS-based solutions and delivering media solutions. Employees At All Levels Are Expected To
